29 Weeks

Greetings my cute little goblin!! We have made it through a full 29 weeks of pregnancy. As each day draws closer, I get more and more excited to meet you. This week you have been full of yourself with all kinds of moving about; flutters, jabs, punches and kicks. I can definitely tell you have been bulking up. Are you taking 'Weight gain 3000? - BEEFCAKE!!" I sure do  love you little whopper; go ahead and keep on growing, Im just as anxious as everyone else is to meet you. But please take all the time you need to finish growing and doing what your body and mother nature need you to do. Its important that you don't arrive early and please please don't arrive too late.

You Measure : about 15 1/2 to 17 " inches long WOW that's almost a foot and a half long!
You Weigh : about 2.5 to almost 3 pounds ( yeah I can really feel it now- especially when im sleeping.)

** In other words, you're roughly about the size of a butternut squash**

This week has been a good week for us both. Momma thinks that she may have found someone to take care of you while she works ( although, she would stay at home with you every day if she had her choice and the opportunity to spend that time with you). The lady's name is Debbie. Momma thought that Debbie was a very nice lady, and has lots of experience, she is certified with the state, and CPR certified. She also takes care of about 3-4 other small children and has been keeping kids for many many years. Debbie seems like she would be capable of taking very good care of you while your momma is working. Keep praying that this will work out for us both.

Fun things for us this week ( well mostly for your mommy ) : Momma hopefully gets to meet your pediatrician ( doctor). The office they work for comes highly recommended and they seem like they have their act together. Also, Momma gets to start taking classes to learn how to better care for you once you are born. - I am sure that I would do a great job, but you can never learn enough, -always seize the opportunity to learn. You'll make me very proud one day. So take it from me, don't be a lazy baby. -
This should be an adventure for us both sweet baby. Your momma is going to promise to do her very best for you always.

Im going to keep this weeks note short and sweet, this week I am tired and need a nap.

I love you sweet sweet baby, take care and keep on growing

Weeks 27 & 28 ( yes I am aware of the tardiness of this update)- Also contains lots of pictures for this post.

Week 27 & 28

tar·di·ness
ˈtärdēnis/
noun
noun: tardiness
  1. the quality or fact of being late; lateness.
"forgive my tardiness, I had some very important business to attend to"

Allow me to first and foremost apologize for my tardiness in this post. Today is July 19, 2014, week 29 & 3 ( maybe 4 ) days. This post is for the weeks of 27 & 28. I have some major catching up to do. I do sincerely apologize, and I will let you know that there is no other reason than me being and having an extremely lackadaisical approach to this. I would like to tell you my days have been so hectic, with work, and travel, and appointments but that would be a bold faced lie. I did travel, I did work, and I did have appointments. But nothing that should have come before this; before I talk, write and have time to form some type of communication to my future child. I am not a fan of being tardy. I understand that there are times that one can be late due to unforeseen circumstances, but to continuously be late, or in general too lazy to get things done in a timely manner that have an air and shred of importance to one is bad. I'm quite sure that later on, you'll hear of times in my life when things were late not by fate, but by choice and relying on others that things did not get accomplished on what I consider a timely manner. I try my hardest to stay on time, and on track ( that way you have time to do more of the things that matter to you, like: talking to your parents, puzzles, or even crafts). If you ever choose to gaze at any time piece that I can manually set, you will see that I set my clocks at least 5-10 minutes fast ( even in the car ), set my alarm at least 10 minutes before I actually want to get up, and my watches, well lets just say sometimes they have been known to be at least 10-13 minutes fast. The only times that are actual and real times are those produced by someone or something else than me.

So here goes little baby, I'm sorry. I will try not to let this happen again, or often. Also, I'm quite sure you don't even care which is fine with me as well. We have had some nice times and belly rubs in the past 2 weeks.

Hello Sweet Baby!

Welcome to weeks 27-28. Only about 12 more weeks to go. These past two weeks have gone by so incredibly fast. We go to go to North & South Carolina to visit my ( mommas) side of the family. The best part, your Daddy got to go with us! We had a wonderful time. We flew out of town on July 4th and your daddy decided to make me laugh until tears came to my eyes while we waited at the airport. He was being so silly and riding around in an extra extra wide wheelchair. I think he'd do anything to make your mommy smile. He can be so silly sometimes. We first flew into Greenville, SC; picked up a rental car and drive to your Uncle Alan & Aunt Dawns house in Westminster. This is where your cousins Haiden and Rowan live. When we got in, they were all there ready to greet us, and help us get settled in for the night. To our surprise mommas cousin DeeDee, and her son Myles were there as well. They had all gotten together to go see fireworks for Independence day celebrations. We woke up Saturday morning; Haiden and I went and picked almost 2 pounds of big fat juicy blackberries to go with our breakfast. Post breakfast activities included going swimming in the new swimming pool. It was a perfect morning, and a great way to start off our vacation. Later on that day we all loaded up in the cars and headed north to Asheville.

I couldn't resist... I had to try it myself.

Over the hills, and through some woods, your daddy chased Alan up the mountain. First stop, Papaw and Nanny Kay's house. We needed to borrow papaw's truck and return the rental car. We scooted to the airport for the return and then crossed town to Mimi and Geezers house to have dinner and spend the night. Mimi made a very special ( and very tasty ) dinner to celebrate Alan's graduation from a long stint in classes to become an official Reactor Operator for Duke energy. - Hooray Alan!!! He's very smart and has worked hard for a long time to get to that goal.  -  We waited and waited, and boy was it sure worth it. Mimi made a Low Country Boil, or what she calls Frogmore Stew. Its packed with new potatoes, corn, crab legs, shrimp, and kielbasa sausage. Thankfully Mimi always has good treats to snack on so we didn't get too hungry before dinner. There is an abundance of food at her house.
Sunday Morning, we went to our home church at Snow Hill United Methodist Church ( this is the church that momma grew up in ) What a great sermon that was delivered by Rev. David Peeler, and communion. Communion has always been a very important part of church for your momma. Its a chance to not only ask for forgiveness for all things, but more so to thank God for everything he has blessed us with today. I even got a special portion of communion for you!  That is the actual very first communion you received.  Later on after church we celebrated something else very special, you! Nanny Kay, and Mimi hosted a special baby shower to help welcome you into this world. Lots of people attended. Lots of mommas church family attended. They all have prayed for you, your health and my health from the start. Prayers that God blesses you beyond measure. To top it off there were some gifts that were given that will help us prepare for your arrival. The best part of the day was seeing everyone enjoy each others company and visiting with each person in attendance.  You have certainly been blessed and loved much more than you'll ever know sweet baby.

"Before I formed you in your mother's body I chose you. Before you were born I set you apart to serve me. I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5

After the shower, later in the week we got to do some of my favorite things. Visit family, sit on the porch, go for a walk downtown, walk the organic markets, have breakfast at the Miami and  spend time with Mimi & Papaw. We don't get to see them as often as I would like, so any time is always the best time with them. They are both very excited to meet you, and I know they're cheering you on every day.

Papaw and I also went and ate at one of my most favorite breakfast places; The Miami. Its been around for years and years, and just about everybody who is anybody in Candler eats there. Good people and good food. I bet they'll know your name and face before you even walk in ( when you can walk that is )

I can wait to do this trip all over again. Next week is July 15, and I get to go to the doctor and check in on how you are doing, and hopefully we will both get a good report and clean bill of health.

Love you lots little wiggle worm,
